LASER HAIR REMOVAL FOR ALL SKIN TONES
Laser hair removal is one of the most searched and most misunderstood services for people with darker skin. The concern is real. Older laser technology and undertrained providers have caused burns and hyperpigmentation on melanin-rich skin. That's not the standard of care here.
At Inclusive Aesthetics, wavelength selection is the starting point of every hair removal consultation. We use the Lumenis M22, a medical-grade platform that supports multiple wavelengths and handpieces, allowing us to match the treatment precisely to your skin tone, hair color and concern. For deeper skin tones, we select wavelengths that bypass melanin in the skin and target the hair follicle directly. This is how laser hair removal is done safely on Fitzpatrick IV, V and VI skin types. With the right equipment, the right settings and a provider who knows the difference.
We treat unwanted hair on the face, upper lip, chin, underarms, bikini and Brazilian areas, legs, back and chest. Every treatment plan starts with a consultation to assess your skin tone, hair color and growth pattern. For certain skin tones we'll do a small patch test first.
What to expect from laser hair removal:
Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart for lasting reduction. Hormonal hair growth may require occasional maintenance sessions. Hair removal on darker skin tones typically requires a conservative, staged approach — we'd rather go slower and protect your skin than rush results. Results vary based on hair color, skin tone and hormonal factors. A consultation is required before your first treatment.
Why Laser Treatments at Inclusive Aesthetics Are Different

Laser treatments require more than advanced technology. Outcomes depend on clinical judgment, training and how precisely treatments are customized to your skin.
At Inclusive Aesthetics, laser care is guided by medical expertise and ongoing education. Grace, our founder and clinical lead, is an elected member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the world’s leading organization focused on laser safety, research and best clinical practices. This distinction reflects a commitment to staying current on evolving laser protocols, skin-safe technologies and evidence-based treatment planning. Treatments are performed using the Lumenis M22, a medical-grade multi-application laser platform chosen for its ability to deliver precise, tone-safe treatments across a wide range of skin concerns and complexions.
Our approach prioritizes conservative, tone-safe protocols that address concerns like pigmentation, redness, hair reduction, texture and visible vessels while protecting skin integrity. Treatment plans come with realistic timelines, clear expectations and detailed pre- and post-care guidance.
We are known for laser treatments that are safe for a wide range of skin tones and types. You’ll never receive cookie-cutter settings or rushed care. Instead, you’ll receive thoughtful planning, transparent education and laser treatments performed with precision and intention. For patients seeking laser treatments in Normandy Park and South King County who value safety, expertise and long-term skin health, Inclusive Aesthetics offers laser care you can trust.
LASERS
Light-based treatments that target pigment, redness, unwanted hair, tattoos and texture. Protocols are customized for every skin tone with settings and aftercare designed to protect melanin and minimize irritation.
Laser treatments are commonly used when topical skincare is no longer enough to address concerns like dark spots, melasma, redness or hair growth.
Your visit begins with a consultation to review goals, skin tone, medical history and timing so we can recommend the safest treatment path. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
Laser treatments for skin of color
Melanin-rich skin requires a different approach, not avoidance. Many people with deeper skin tones have been turned away from laser clinics or experienced poor results elsewhere. At Inclusive Aesthetics, skin of color is not an afterthought. Our protocols are built around protecting melanin while still delivering real results for dark spots, hair removal, redness and texture concerns. We use tone-specific wavelengths, conservative energy settings and pigment-safe pre- and post-care as standard practice, not as an exception.

What is laser treatment?
Medical laser and light treatments use focused energy to address dark spots, sun damage, freckles, redness, visible vessels, acne marks, unwanted hair and tattoos. Some treatments also support collagen production to improve texture and fine lines.
For melanin-rich and sensitive skin, treatment planning focuses on improving tone and clarity while protecting pigment and supporting barrier health over a series of sessions.
How does it work?
Our lasers deliver controlled pulses of light to the skin, where they are absorbed by specific targets such as pigment, blood vessels or hair follicles. Settings are carefully adjusted to match your skin tone and concern so we can treat the issue while protecting surrounding skin.
Patch testing may be recommended for certain skin tones or concerns. Pigment-safe pre- and post-care help keep skin calm, supported and safe throughout the process.
